Quality Assurance Inspections
Our Quality Assurance (QA) inspections support developers, builders and project teams to identify issues earlier, improve build quality and reduce downstream defects before handover, statutory warranty and SBBIS inspection stages.
Waratah’s QA approach is practical, construction-focused and designed to work alongside active project delivery — helping teams manage workmanship, compliance and defect rectification throughout the construction lifecycle.
QA inspections are commonly undertaken during construction, pre-handover and throughout the statutory warranty period under the Home Building Act 1989, helping project teams proactively identify and address issues before they escalate into larger defect or stakeholder matters.
We provide:
- Progress and staged QA inspections for Class 1 and Class 2 residential developments
- Pre-handover and pre-SBBIS inspections
- Apartment, common property and mixed-use inspections
- Verification of workmanship against the NCC/BCA, approved documents and relevant Australian Standards
- Waterproofing, finishes and workmanship reviews
- Defect identification, tracking and remediation verification
- Practical defect reporting with clear photographic evidence and location references
- Digital defect registers and reporting workflows to support builder close-out
Our reports are designed to be practical and action-oriented to help project teams prioritise rectification works, reduce repeat defects and improve handover readiness across residential and strata developments.
